Updating Milk Town!

It's been a while since I did any new stuff for my Milk Town website so I thought I'd pay it a bit of long-overdue attention. Hopefully over the next month or two, the library will become a bit more active, the hotel will be open with rooms to view and the Milk Town Graveyard will be full of spooky goings-ons! Milk Town is mostly just for fun and a place that I can populate with weird characters. I do have plans for a series of proposed children's books featuring the characters of Milk Town but for now, that will have to remain as part of my very long list of things to do!

Robots in Disguise!

A bit of a Transformers themed post today; I've been having a great time painting and drawing TF characters, although my sense of symmetry leaves a lot to be desired! I'm aiming to get several more characters drawn in order to make some sticker packs for the Bristol Comic Con. Hopefully people will like them!

I'm going to take a short break from painting at the moment to concentrate on a few other bits that need attention. Milk Town will be getting some new stuff, namely a swanky new shop! I'm going to be using a special shop program for artists as I really just can't seem to get on with Etsy. I don't know why as it's easy to use and all but I find I dread updating it and get a bit bored when it comes to maintaining it. This one hopefully will be a lot less hassle! It will also act as my main on-line store so I can link to it from all my sites. There will also be new buildings and comics on the Milk Town website which I'm working on at the moment.

I'll be spending most of this evening working on the two t-shirt designs I'm drawing for an American horror convention. More on those soon! :P

Coming up in Milk Town!

I've got more plans for my Milk Town website than I can shake some kind of stick-shaped object at! Mostly, it will be aimed at the Citizens Only buildings which will include the Library and the Hotel. Fear not, as there will be plenty to keep non-citizens amused! It doesn't cost anything to become a citizen and means you get access to the whole town; I just thought it would be neat for people who sign up to the website to get a bit more out of it; you also get the chance to win freebies and stuff if you become a citizen.

The Library and Hotel are both under construction at the moment. The Library will contain comics, downloadable activities and all sorts of other goodies while the Hotel will just be something fun! There are also plans for a Milk Town Cemetery too...!

Milk Town Comics!

Milk Town library will soon be host to a whole medley of comics like this! You have to become a citizen before you can join the library though! :P

I haven't done any comics for blummin' ages and I think it shows with this! Hopefully I'll tweak the over-all look of the rest of the comics and make them a bit more friendly on the eye. It was fun to draw and colour though and it was nice to have The Mayor actually doing something rather than remain a static character. I think these would make a nice set of over sized postcards in a set when I have more.

Here are some more of my original Milk Town paintings. There are also some of the Milk Town Choir which will be available too. I'm going to try and get into the habit of painting at least three of these little pics a week; they're quick and fun and make nice things to sell or give as presents!

Milk Town Expansion!

Milk Town will be officially "launched" on the 27th of March at the Web and Mini Comix Thing in London. Citizen Packs will be available to buy as well as original paintings so if you're in London or there-a-bouts, come on by! Fear not though, as Milk Town's official Gift Shop is being built by diligent radishes at the moment and will soon have stickers, Citizen Packs and all sorts of other goodies to buy! Another exciting new building under construction is the Milk Town Library which will be a CITIZENS ONLY building. The Library will be host to a gabble of Milk Town Comics, downloadable activity sheets and other cool little bits just for members of the site. To become a citizen, all you have to do is sign-up at www.milk-town.com. Head over to the Suburbs and fill out a form!

I've just finished my first batch of Milk Town paintings that will be up for sale at the Web and Mini Comix Thing at the end of this month. Had a blast painting these and I'm hoping to get another 20 done before the con; any that aren't sold will go up for sale in my up-coming Milk Town Gift Shop. They'll be sold at a special price for the con so if you can drop by and say hi all the better!

Productivity up the wiz-wang!

Well, I'm back in Swindon for a week and I'm already being more productive than I hoped! I'm really enjoying making my Milk Town website and I'm painting lots of pics for the Web and Mini Comix Thing in March. I completed 8 5x5 cavases today and hope to have at least 18 by the end of the week. I can't seem to stop working at the moment, which is great; I don't think I've enjoyed myself this much in ages. By the time I get back there's going to be tons to colour so look forward to a hefy helping of bloggings! Also looking forward to seeing The Crazies tomorrow; maybe I'll draw a film review! :P

Milk Town Website!

After ages of thinking about it, I actually got off of my bum-bum and made a start on my Milk Town website! It's still very much in the construction stages but there's enough there at the moment to get a good idea of what's what. I've spent the last couple of days manically drawing stuff for it which has been awesome; I don't think I've been this addicted and excited to draw anything in ages! I will be celebrating the launch of the site with a Milk Town giveaway, so keep an eye out to win some stickers and other goodies!

Milk Town has a lot of specialist produce that the townsfolk like to eat, and where better to pick up a tasty snack than the local deli!
Why not try a Sea Cucumber, Fire Drop or rasher of Rainbow Bacon? Radishes and gherkins are chock full of vitamins and goodness and Rainbow Coral is expensive but damn tasty! :P

Milk Town Dentist!

He may look like a bit of a maniac, but Milk Town's resident dentist makes sure each pulled tooth becomes a new citizen! I'm having a great time creating characters for my new character series called Milk Town. I'd like to expand this into a comic series as I just seem to do a lot of character work without actually having them in any kind of situation. I'm aiming to make this my next challenge! Milk Town will soon have it's own website too which I'm starting to design at the moment. When the New Year brings a more stable money situation, I'll be getting some Milk Town stuff printed too!
