Awesome Colouring Book and Life Meter 3!

All of my colouring books are now printed, bagged and heaving with packs of crayons and stickers! I only took a couple of pictures as I'll take more on my stall at the Web and Mini Comix Thing but I'm quite pleased with them. Hopefully people will think they're fun enough to buy and if all goes well, I'll make more for the Bristol con. I had such a great time making these I've already got a few more zines planned: I'll be reprinting my zine Squid Bits, a small collection of comics I've done over the last couple of years; I've got a Milk Town activity book in the works and a fun little language book - more on that another time!

I also received a copy of a small press GN I contributed to last year called Life Meter 3; a fantastic video-game inspired collection of comics. The spiffing Dave Roman sent me a complimentary copy and it is such a gorgeous book!

Citizen Portraits

Here are a few of the paintings I did on my break for the Web and Mini Comix Thing. I was hoping to get another 20 done but I think it may be more like 7 or 8! I'll be starting my colouring book this week; the crayons have been ordered so I can't wait to make a start on them. They will also come with a few stickers too!

Make Your Own Christmas Cards!

Much along the same lines as my Make Your Own Postcards, I've made sets of Make Your Own Christmas Cards. Each set comes with 10 9x12cm green cards with red envelopes and 12 6x9cm red cards with ribbed Manila envelopes and a set of vinyl stickers to deck them out with! There are way more stickers than are pictured above but I don't want to spoil all the fun!

Genki Gear Xmas Card Designs

These are my designs thus far for the awesome Genki Gear. They were more than happy for some not-quite-traditional-designs which was a bonus! I've still got some more to do as well as the badge designs. I may even make a pack of these myself to give to my nearest and dearest at Christmas!

Another play around with some stationary ideas. I'm not too sure about the Space Rabbit one; I think the colours need to be more monotone, or at least a bit more complimentary to each other. These are pretty fun to make though!

Stationary Designs

Well, I'm about to start sending off work to publishers, agencies and the like and I've just ordered a metric shit-load of promotional material; business cards, mini-cards and notecards are on the way and stickers and badges will be ordered over the weekend. In a bid to come up with some more promo ideas, I've started to fiddle about with stationary ideas, namely notepads. They're pretty nifty and are the kind of thing I know people at cons would go for! I'm a bit of an obsessive when it comes to cool stationary; half of it goes unused buying a spanking new notebook is a guilty pleasure, even if it sits gathering dust for ages. I have a folder full of notebooks from Japan I know I could never bring myself to soil!

So here are the first two of many designs I'm playing about with. I'm manipulating existing images in the hopes of building up a kind of "brand." I think packs of these with badges and stickers would be a nice little seller!
