I Know Sasquatch has made it onto the longlist for the British Comic Awards! It's currently on the list for the Young People's Comic Award and while I doubt I'll even make it to the shortlist, it was nice to at least get a mention! :D

What the dickens am I doing?
I feel bad for neglecting my blog a bit since my trip to the US but things have been insane busy here; I'm currently working on 2 activity books and the deadlines are fast approaching. They're pretty fun though and my art director is brilliant - that always makes a BIG difference working on a project! I have a few exciting secret projects in the works too which I can't talk about quite yet, but hopefully will be able to reveal a few bits over the next month or so!
I was very lucky to have been asked to take part in an amazing science comic for kids called Asteroid Belter, which teams up scientists and artists to create awesome educational comics. My brief was "A Day In The Life Of A Poo" - hopefully I can post my comic soon but the actual printed comic is free and available in Newcastle!
I have a couple of cons coming up - MCM and Thought Bubble - and have been trying to get new stuff sorted for those. I'm working on a very special and exciting collaboration with someone for Thought Bubble that hopefully should be pretty awesome; I'll reveal more when I can! :D
I'm also going to running another giveaway over on my Facebook page very soon so please check it out for updates and news!

Angry First Mate.
He never would have signed up to work on the submarine had they told him he'd been cleaning the toilets for the entire 6 month mission.

Road Robots.
One of the biggest hazards on the roads in America at the moment are Road Robots: Robots that dance on or near roads and highways. Dancing robots distract more drivers than anything else in the United States. Although skilled, they really should find somewhere else to perform. I've managed to get quite a few photos of these robots on our road trip in the U.S.
Report dancing robots on the roads. Call 555-101-I-ROBOT.
Road Robots dance for attention. Slowing down to view them will cause the robots to think you want them to come home and live with you, and they will attempt to enter your car. KEEP DRIVING. They will eventually wander off when no-one pays them any attention.
Road Robots come in all shapes and sizes and are pre-programmed with over 300 dance moves.
Road Robot debris can be a real hazard on the highways. Not every robots dances to see another day.
Some Road Robots are huge and can cause major traffic delays until they finish dancing and the roads are cleared.

Road Trip fun!
I can't believe we're already into week three of our USA road trip! It's been so good so far - I'm trying to enjoy every minute of it. I've been keeping my travel sketchbook every day which has been a lot of fun and has garnered laughs from everyone who has looked at it! I haven't had a chance to filter through the many hundreds of photos I've taken so far but here are a few.
Yosemite is totally the Forest Moon Of Endor.
El Capitan is one of the tallest peaks in Yosemite. Captain Kirk also fell off of it once.

My husband got chased by a scary tree at Lake Tenaya.
